Corporate Governance is seen by many as a technical compliance issue, or as a costly adjunct to public relations efforts.  This is far too limited a view.  The goal of Corporate Governance activity should be to make the public corporation more responsive to its owners and to its users, so that the corporation is at once a more efficient creator of wealth, and a better long-term contributor to the global economy.
